This feels so unreal and it honestly doesn’t feel like I started this smol blog an entire year ago. I love and appreciate and love each and every one of you. I love talking to everyone and I’ve made some amazing friends (and met them). I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences on my blogging journey and I’ve had the best time and learnt so much. Anyways I won’t bore you with my soppy stories, so let’s just get on with the interesting stuff…

So I’m a little sentimental today so I’m kind of re-doing my first posts. My first ever blog post was MY FAVOURITE SERIES OF ALL TIME but don’t go look at it because 1) it’s cringey and 2) has no substance and is hecka boring.

Part 1 (fantasy series)

1) HARRY POTTER

I mean obviously it’s going to be on this list, do you really need an explanation. I watch the movies basically 24/7. It’s just such an incredible series and set of characters. I have loads of merch and I just love it?? I don’t really know else I can say…

2) SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES

I am honestly am not even going to separate these into TMI and TID or even TDI (just because I haven’t read the next book) because I’d probably kill myself in the process. But these are just amazing and I love Cassie. These books are pure gold that rip your poor, shattered heart out.

3) PERCY JACKSON

Again, this includes all books with Percy including Heroes of Olympus. I love Percy and Annabeth (and Leo). These make me cry whilst laughing and you have the best time. I just adore them.

4) SIX OF CROWS

This is a recent fave but I’m just obsessed. Like I can’t imagine my life without them. My babies are so precious and I love them with all my being. These books are amazing and I can’t even.

5) THE RAVEN BOYS

These books man. Like they’re so amazing. I literally love them with my entire being and I’d kill for them. They mean so much to me and I love all my boys. My heart is still in pieces and I need these new books that are coming.

6) THE HUNGER GAMES

This again is such a staple and very sentimental. I’ve read the books at least twice and rewatched the movies countless times.

7) THE DARKEST MINDS

Again, another recent fave but I just love these so much. Like they were so freaking good and I can’t even with Liam. He broke my heart and I just couldn’t stop with them. Arghhhh

8) TWILIGHT

This is only really on here because of the nostalgic value it has. I read the books so many times and the same with the movies. I was obsessed (as many others) and I would’ve died for Edward (as many others). They took over my life and I couldn’t stop.

Part 2 (contemporary)

9) TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE

These books quickly became a favourite and I squeal whenever someone talks about them. They’re so cute and adorable. I am soooo hyped about the movie you don’t understand

10) ANNA & THE FRENCH KISS

Ya’ll know this is probably my favourite contemporary but it’s only at the bottom because I love the first book way more than the other two. I love it so much, it’s my pick-me-up book and it’s just the best

Why did you start blogging/what was your inspiration?
I started this time last year because I wanted an outlet to talk to other people about books. I’d watched booktube for a while at that point and discovered book blogging so I just decided I wanted to do it
Do you have any weird reading habits/rituals?
I like to have my pillows in the exact position and I only read when my back is upright otherwise I get uncomfortable
What’s your favourite book that you’ve read this year so far?
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo or The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

What’s your least favourite book of all time and why?
I really don’t like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. I find them boring and unentertaining and there are so many other books that are way better
If you could make any character come to live to live in our world (but they couldn’t return), who would you pick?
Hmmm, this is hard. Like I want them all but don’t have the heart to take them away. I’ll just take Warner all to myself (or Liam but then I’d answer every question with him so…)
What’s a thing in books you’d love to see more? (representation/tropes/anything)
I want more filmmaker books and also like relateable fantasies (i.e. introvert with an online life?? if that makes sense)

Hmm probably that you SHOULD USE GRAPHICS because they’re so much fun to make and use and also that you should use your own voice and be unique. Blog for you and make your blog how you’d like to see it

I love recommendations (so I can scream at people to read books) and also reviews because I love gushing about spoilery things in books
Unexpected thing about blogging/bookstagram that you’ve found you love (i.e. taking pictures or smth like that idk)?
I love designing blog graphics and making them look pretty. I also love taking photos and getting them to look just right.
Do you ever eat while reading?
Actually no. I’m super clean so I’m very cautious. I’ll eat if it’s not gonna leave a stain or something. But it’s also distracting for me because you have to stop reading to reach for the snacks.
