I HAVE ACQUIRED MORE BOOKS THAN I THOUGHT // a haul
Eyy so it’s been a hot second since my last haul and I’ve counted and I got like 25 books in under 2 months?? And I haven’t been reading much… howwww???
Yeah you know don’t even ask!! Should we just get into the haul, I think that’s a good idea.
- Crowns of Croswald by D. E. Night: the lovely author reached out to me and asked if I’d like to read her book and I of course said yes. The cover is stunning and it sounds like a really fun middle grade
- The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky: I was in the bookstore and saw this one and thought I should give it another chance. I didn’t really enjoy it when I watched the movie but I think I’ll love it now that I’m older.
- Leah On The Offbeat by Becky Albertalli: My faves at Penguin Random House SA sent this one my way and I’m super excited because I love Becky and hyped to dive in and see Simon and the gang again!
- Words In Deep Blue by Cath Crowley: A million thanks to Pan Macmillan for sending this one my way. It sounds so cool and I’ve heard great things so super excited to get into it.
- The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo: I traded this one with a friend and the concept sounds super cool. Plus I really want to get into poetry.
- Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer: okay so I went to a second-hand bookstore and I didn’t have a physical copy of this one so I’ve been waiting to get it but not making it a priority so I decided to get it super cheap. Plus it’s for charity so…
- Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman: all my friends rave about this book and I follow the author on twitter and she’s really cool so I mean, I have to try it for myself.
- From Twinkle With Love by Sandhya Menon: Thanks to Jonathan Ball Publishers for sending this to me. I started it but wasn’t in the mood and am really hoping to love this book. Its about filmmaking so fingers-crossed.
- Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow: Pan Mac sent me a finished copy because my sister read this book and enjoyed it so I really want to give it a go.
- Furyborn by Claire Legrand: a local book box was doing had an epic theme for I think July and it had all my fave fandoms plus I was wanting to get this book so I bought it. It’s a hardcover with deckled edges which is always a bonus!
- My Box-Shaped Heart by Rachel Lucas: This one came in my Secret Book Box rep box and it sounds like a really quick contemporary and I’m intrigued to see what I think.
- The Little Mermaid & Other Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Anderson: I was very much privileged to be sent this STUNNING book by JB, so a million thank you’s, and it’s so beautiful and I love it. It’s the new hardcover with illustrations and interactive flaps and I just can’t deal with the beauty!!
- The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants by Ann Brashares: another buy at the second-hand store because I loved the movies so why not??
- Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson: I picked this up on a complete whim and it’s now one of my all-time favourites of the year and even of all time. I adore this book and just READ IT. I have a review, click here to read it.
- Save The Date by Morgan Matson: Thanks a million to JB for sending this super fun read to me! I went on a bit of a marathon and recently just finished this one and really enjoyed it.
- The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson: I read this book SO FAST AHH. I was lucky enough to be gifted this one from someone online and just THANK YOU!
- The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo: The lovely people at Pan Mac sent the 3 books my way and am planning on getting to them before King of Scars.
- Tyler Johnson Was Here by Jay Coles: I was in the bookstore and saw this and was like I NEED TO GET IT. I didn’t even think to find it in a store so had to grab it super fast.
- City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare: of course in that second-hand store I jumped at the chance to get the US cover because my fave Jace is on it and I really like that cover plus it was cheap so you know!
- I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman: Thanks to JB for sending this one my way. I’ve heard great things about the author’s books so really excited to read this one.
- Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart: Pan Mac sent an ARC my way and this one really intrigues to me so thanks a million! It’s now already out but still super hyped.
- The Unpredictability of Being Human by Linni Ingemundsen: I got a surprise package from Penguin and this one sounds super fun. A great thank you to Penguin.
- Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling: They had a hardcover with the original UK cover and my brother has decided he wants to read them and it was quite cheap so I’m obviously not going to not get it.
- I Have Lost My Way by Gayle Forman: I love Gayle Forman and needed to get my hands on her new book so thanks to JB for sending this to me. Super hyped to get into this one.
- The Surface Breaks by Louise O’Neill: I’ve been wanting to get this since I heard it was a Little Mermaid retelling and saw this stunning hardcover (also very cheap) so couldn’t resist. I hope it’s good.
- A Study In Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro: I also got this sent to me by a lovely friend and have heard great things and it sounds like my kind of mystery book so super excited.
- Brightly Burning by Alexa Donne: I’m not a sci-fi person but it sounds really cool and I’ve heard the author has a cool youtube channel so I’m excited to see what I think of it. Thanks to JB for sending to me.
That was a heck ton I know. I again would like to say thank you to all publishers because I’m so grateful to be able to receive these books! I just want more time to read can’t someone please make the days longer so we can read all day.
WHAT ARE SOME BOOKS YOU’VE RECENTLY GOT THAT YOU’RE HYPED ABOUT? WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WENT INTO A BOOKSTORE? LET ME KNOW!

The last time I went to a bookstore was on Black Friday so not that long ago. I bought like 25 books this month alone so I need to calm down as well. I still need to get The Unexpected Everything but I do have The Poet X, A Study in Charlotte, Since You’ve Been Gone, Save the Date, Leah on the Offbeat, The Grisha Trilogy, and Grace and Fury! I hope you love the Grisha Trilogy!!

Omg I love Morgan Matson! I still need to read some. I didn’t buy books on Black Friday. I was productive and bought Christmas books instead!
