SEPTEMBER RECAP // tests, readalongs & instagram stories
Eyyy so look at me actually have a great month!!
I actually read books and studied (??) but still high-key stressing the heck out about October…
Look at me reading 5 books and reading a book off my TBR?? What’s happened to me?
- The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson {★★★★½}: I went on a Matson binge in August and finished the last 100 pages or so of this book so I didn’t want to add it for last month. But I really enjoyed it and is a really great summer read. I have a review on my blog so click here for more thoughts
- Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi {★★★★★}: Oh my heck I need the next book asap, please. I read this book super fast and I loved it even low-key wanted to strangle a couple of characters but it’s chill
not really.Click here for a review
- Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare {★★★★★}: I really wanted to reread this series so I did and I am a mess! I’m doing a read along if you’re also interested in joining. I have a whole post and review with all the details so click here for that
- Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare {★★★★★}: Hi there welcome to my funeral please take a seat. I am literally deceased and my heart is gone. This is my new favourite series of all time, thank you and goodnight. Click here for a review
- Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare {★★★★★}: Could we not talk about this book, please?? I don’t know what to say apart from that I cried and lived all at once. I have a review so click here if you want to read about me losing my mind.
We’ll see how this goes because I have extremely important exams coming up this month but who knows because this is usually the time I read a heck ton… Here are a couple books I’ve been meaning to get to soon
- The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare and other authors
- The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert
- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
- An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green
- Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor
- Um, so I may or may not have decided to talk on my Instagram stories… um, what? Yeah, so I did that. I’ve shown my voice to the internet, hecka scary but I’m also really glad about it
- My rep package from Create Explore Read came and I showed off some pretty bookmarks and prints. Click here for that post
- I’ve been a bit more active on places but I think I was having a creative slump but I have some posts planned that I need to schedule and a few others I need to put the time into making so keep your eyes open.
- Ooh, I did that giveaway I was talking about which was super cool.
- As I mentioned, I have exams coming up. They’re like the ones that are super important for university so can you feel my anxiety from there? They kind of start on the 23rd and we have like 6 days of school after holidays until that starts so I am stressing, just a little though
- I was incredibly proud of myself during test series though. I got full marks on a history essay question which is like what???
- Also, it should be spring here but it’s basically summer and I’m not readyyyy!!!! The weather has been super weird and messing up everyone’s health and skin.
- That’s about it, I’m super boring I know
I watched almost nothing, which is weird for me.
I watched a few movies, including rewatching The Hunger Games movies and the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies??
I’ve also been watching Shameless every week which is fun. And then here and there, Friends but what else is new?
Looking back September was rather uneventful but I’m now completely obsessed with The Infernal Devices so that’s… great. Think of me while I slowly die during exams.
HOW WAS YOUR MONTH? HOW MUCH DID YOU READ? WHAT WAS ONE OF YOUR FAVOURITE READS? ANYTHING SUPER COOL HAPPEN? I’D LOVE TO KNOW!

I still can’t think of Clockwork Princess without wanting to cry but me and some blogger friends are planning on rereading the books at some point too. I don’t know why we do this to ourselves though. lol

I wish you the best with your exams! September was a not so great month for me, but October is looking up! Have a great October and hopefully you’ll read The Hate U Give because it’s really amazing!
