This book is pure genius and I am Rainbow Rowell trash. I’m #SnowBaz trash but we’ll get to that essay later

SIMON FREAKING SNOW! He’s the most ridiculous, stammering boy ever and I ADORE HIM. He’s such an idiot and I LOVE IT!!
I also love Baz Pitch for loving him. I love him anyways, brooding queer Baz. But like, I’ll gush about them later.These spells. I actually can’t deal. They’re literally nursery rhymes. I’m WHEEZING. Rainbow is truly a genius. But I also really liked how she created her spells. How you can control magic. I found it fascinating, it’s so unique, even though Simon’s magic confused me. How he poured it from him? Like it’s cool, but also wait what??
I do not like Agatha. She’s so ANNOYING. Can we just not?

Also, I always thought something was up with that Humdrum (which also GENIUS NAME). And the Mage was also suspicious. I loved all the mysteries we had in this book. And with Baz’s mum, AHHHH. Like, I was definitely not thinking that he’d (Mage) actually be behind it. But I also love that he was. Such a good twist.
That Humdrum scares me. And he scares Simon. Which scares me. With the red ball. CREEPY AF.

I just want to read this book over and over and over again now. Can I have Wayward son?? Also, I’m MAD that I checked Goodreads expecting to find one BUT THERE’S NO RELEASE DATE?!?! Now I never know when we’ll get it in 2019! UN-FREAKING-FAIR!

I need to talk about Baz and Simon. It was obviously clear that Simon was obsessed with Baz, not because he was scared of him. And I LOVED that the second Baz came back he’d admitted that he’s hopelessly in love with Simon, the terrible magician. I. LOVE. IT!!! I love it so much my heart can’t contain. Baz Pitch is amazing and don’t you ever think you don’t mean anything to smol Simon, him worrying over you for like 2 months when you didn’t show up clearly says something. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH I CANNOT!! I love the scene at the fireplace and afterwards and Simon’s just muttering rubbish and Baz doesn’t want to listen to his ramblings. Ahh Simon, ily bby. I loved the scene in the Chapel and the one at the dance with Simon’s tail. Baz is amazing and MY FAVOURITE. Okay, I think my essay is long enough.
