MARCH RECAP // graduation, moving, some reading & other chaos
Quite chuffed with my incredibly inventive title if I do say so myself *wink wink*
We all know that I am a comedian by nature.
God I need to shut up now. Anyways, back to your irregularly scheduled belated recap, as per usual, due to very obvious reasons in the title. I honestly don’t remember what happened last month, it was all very blurry but I shall try my best to recount it to you. Into the chaos we go!
Last Violent Call by Chloe Gong {★★★★★}: I was never prepared for this book and I have read it and am still not prepared. Chloe never misses and this book was perfection, as is everything she writes. My heart stopped beating for approximately 200 pages and I need to tattoo this book onto my forehead. It was stunning and I will have a full review up hopefully soon, GR review here in the meantime *screams for eternity*
The First Move by Jenny Ireland {★★★☆☆}: The lovely people at Penguin SA had an eARC available and I needed a smol pick me up so I read this on a whim. Devoured this in like a day and agh what a cute YA contemporary. The chronic illness rep was hands down the best part about this, as well as the You’ve Got Mail vibes, which will always get me. Unfortunately, I wanted more from the writing and the romance, but overall, this was a lovely reading experience. This one is out now, more thoughts here xoxo

With You Forever by Chloe Liese {★★★★☆}: shameful that it took me so long to read this dang book but also loved catching up with these back-to-back. Living my bestest life here and I am in awe of Chloe Liese. The angst in this marriage of convenience is my EVERYTHING omg. She will never fail and I am obsessed. Absolutely loved this soft time in the woods at the A-frame with these two idiots and if you’re not reading this series, idk what you’re doing with your life *sighs* Big thank you to the author and Victory Editing Co-Op for the galley, GR review here xoxoxox
Everything For You by Chloe Liese {★★★★☆}: Back in the Bergman sports romance era and I WAS LIVING FOR IT. Love an age gap enemies to lovers moment and this one did not disappoint. The anxiety representation was,,, ugh so good. And Ollie and Gav are too adorable, I love them to bits READ THIS SERIES. More thoughts here!
If Only You by Chloe Liese {★★★★★}: I’m keeping it brief here because I need to do a full review for this, but this is my new favourite Bergman romance IT WAS SO GOOD OMG. This is mayhaps her slowest slow-burn and I was all there for it. The chemistry was absolutely everything, as was the pining, you could cut that tension with a knife. And the character development ugh loved my babies Ziggy and Seb READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!! Huge thanks to the author for the eARC, I adore you and this book!!!!!! All the yelling here and review coming soon xoxoxo
Huge thanks to Penguin Random House SA for the spoils:
- The Davenports by Krystal Marquis
- Well Met, Well Played, Well Matched AND Well Traveled by Jen DeLuca
Thank you to Pan Macmillan and OctoMarketing for:
- My Side of The Ocean by Ron Irwin
Went to a charity bookstore yet again oops
- Peter Pan by JM Barrie
- Hamlet by William Shakespeare
- Penguin’s Poems for Life
- Sisters of the Winter Wood by Rena Rossner
Technically tons has come out this month and I should have talked about them but, due to the abovementioned ~chaos~ this has not happened. Looking at Daisy Jones and a couple of Crows which came out last month and yell at me to get the reviews up because I need to scream with you!
Other than that, I did see Babylon and Everything Everywhere All At Once in March, so says my Letterboxd because I forget these all the time. Both great films, my brain is just awful. As well the films I’ve seen for class but March was busy ahaha
Oh and I found some courage to finish The Last of Us and I will never be okay ever again. This show is maybe some of the best television I have seen in a while and I am awestruck. It is simply amazing and I shan’t ever recover. Bring back #pray4ruby
I don’t remember if there was anything else oops
So March was busy. Uni got busy, and then I graduated!!! Our ceremony took a while if you were wondering about the odd timing. But yeah, I got a degree. Insane. The day was amazing. A gal has a Bachelor of Arts!!!!!
And the move. Yup. I don’t know if I have mentioned this on the blog yet? Maybe but I don’t think so. My entire family and I moved to the city, and it was quite a big move but so far, it’s all going super well and I’m so happy about it. New nature locations to be found. Eyes peeled friends *wink wink*
