Because a girlie has been slammed crazy busy,,, Let’s just right in *wink wink* — Past Present Future by Rachel Lynn Solomon {★★★★☆}: maybe I didn’t read this at the right time or something? Because I love these characters and Rachel’s writing, but I remember next to nothing about this book? It’s also been a hot second since I read it but still? I had a great time with it, and I think it’s a really sweet sequel to a story that I love a lot but not as memorable as book one for me. Tysm to Simon & Schuster for the eARC via Netgalley, more thoughts in my GR review here xoxox The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce {★★★★★}: she’ll be getting her own review at some point but this book broke my heart and put me back together again and I’m still in recovery a little bit. THE BEST OF 2023: BOOKS, MOVIES & SHOWS // ranking my top reads and watches of last year in journal spreads ft. some honourable mentions
At least the wait was not long in between. You could at least be grateful for that. I’m kidding. Yes I am embarrassed it took this long. But I’m wrapping up 2023 with a BANG. One might say that I’ve been ~inspired~ or,,, creative? Who’s to say? Not me. But I saw some people on TikTok do these journal spreads for books and suddenly I had FOMO. But, of course, I’m not about to make spreads for all the books I’ve ever read (never going to do that btw) but I thought I’d start with my favourite reads of the year for funsies. Then suddenly LIGHTBULB! I am going to share them here. And I’ve written reviews for basically all of them so to switch it up, I’m sharing my favourites in pretty graphics aka journal spreads I created on my iPad. That was long-winded but I hope you understood. Before we get into the books, I do have movies and shows to share. Whilst I have not made spreads for each of them individually, I have made some rankings. Enjoy the ride *wink wink* BEST OF 2023: SHOWS Hope you were here yesterday for my 2023 recap, and in…

DECEMBER RECAP // great reads, avatar, christmas movies, beach vacation and stunning special edition books!!!
Didn’t expect to see me back so soon? I mean same. But I didn’t want to combine December and January which I have ~definitely~ not done before…. Haha nervous laughter. Anyways, we have stuff to catch up on so let’s get into it! Two Wrongs Make A Right by Chloe Liese {★★★★★}: ugh shame on me for taking so long to start this because it was so good I could cry. I knew she would hit and ugh she so did. Chloe Liese has magic beneath her fingertips and you all need to read this book RIGHT NOW!!! I said it all in my blog tour review so I’m sending you over there but I HIGHLY recommend. Big thanks to Berkley for having me on board and for the eARC via Netgalley <3<3<3 Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan & Robert Venditti {★★★☆☆}: all I can say is that I’m on a graphic novel kick, my Library had this available and I read it. Stupid me should not have expected an illustrated edition when that exists separately but because of that stupidity I went in expecting PJO in pictures. Which this is sorta but it lacked the…

SEPTEMBER RECAP // start of spring, I actually read books (one good, one bad) & other shenanigans
I’m calling it, I would now REALLY like 2020 to end. Okay no, there is ONE saving grace and it was a book. We are all shocked. Anyways, I apologise for,,, not posting for a month. I know I am a terrible person. I intended to, but I just never got around to sitting down and drafting new content. I didn’t read all that much and was also just busy with university work. Actually had intended to have this up like a week ago but ah assignments. I had an assignment due this morning so,,, fun times. Let us get dive right into what happened in September. Oh, also happy October I guess. Tis not fall where I live, but spring, and there will most likely be no Halloween not that I celebrated it anyway bc I’m a hermit but still. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne {★★☆☆☆}: thank the holy heavens above that I did not actually buy a physical copy of this book and instead read the ebook or,, idk I probably would have spat on it and tore it to pieces. Also, I don’t want it on my shelf. This book was… for lack of a better…

FAVOURITE MOVIES OF 2019 // the very late list ft. my top 5 films of last year
Would this be a favourite movies post if it WASN’T 5 million years late? And am I just incapable of getting movie content up on time? Yes, yes I am. But I swear I want to try and get better at it and post more frequently. If that’s okay with you all? This list is EXTREMELY short oh my gosh. I literally only watched 45 movies last year. My 2018 favourites was a lot longer as I watched A TON. I also don’t have a ‘worst movies’ list because I didn’t watch any bad ones last year?? Also since the list of my favourite books isn’t made up of ONLY books that came out that year, I try and make my movies list up of only films that were released that year or late the previous year. So this does have a couple of 2018 films on it but I did watch all of them last year. If that makes any sense at all, which it probably doesn’t. OH WELL. This also probably a good time to say that you should follow my Letterboxd account because I log all the movies I watch on there. Let’s be friends because I…

ROMANTIC MOVIE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WHILE YOU’RE STUCK AT HOME // distracting yourself part 1: for all the feels and touching moments
Yes, I am indeed hopping on this sort of trend as I get my blogging mojo back. But also the world is super messed up right now, so I wanted to help you out, take your mind off this very stressful world. I kinda know my way around the “rom-com” genre, not to brag HA. I’ve seen basically all of them. I may not have a life but it’s fine. I want to do more movie recommendation posts. Anyways, I lowkey hate the term “romantic comedy” because usually there’s never anything comedic about the movies under the category. Now’s not the right time for this debate though. The point is, these movies are supposed to be uplifting. Which is perfect for this moment in time. I’ve been gravitating a lot toward these types of movies so hopefully, this post can be of some use to you as well. P.S. all the movies I’m mentioning are on this list I’ve made on Letterboxd which is a platform I’m lowkey OBSESSED with and highly suggest you use. Especially if you’re a film buff like me *flips hair* Ha I almost had you fooled. You thought that I wouldn’t be talking about all the…

MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIES OF 2020 // being blessed with the book adaptations and more exciting releases
So um hi, it has been a while since I talked about movies over here. It’s just been BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS. It’s also been a while since I posted, my January recap is late, but I really wanted to get this up. Yeah, I started uni and it’s been quite hard. So I disappeared off the internet for a bit. Whoops. Anyways, I KNOW I always do these posts late, I just never get the time to do them before the end of the year. AHHH A CONSTANT STRUGGLE. Also, I hope I don’t bore you with this content, as I’d really like to start doing more movie posts. I hardly watched any movies last year which is why they were so scarce. But I have a ton of ideas for this year and I guess we’ll see what happens. Anyways, without further ado let us just get into it. ANIMATION Onward (4 March 2020): All I needed to know was that Tom Holland is in this movie. Well, he’s a voice actor. Same difference. Also, there are purple men. I need it in my life. Oh and Chris Pratt but eh I don’t care about him as much. Soul (17…
