I’m just quickly popping on here to say that I am still alive ha. Well my computer is slowly killing me as I work non-stop on blog book reviews/discussions that I’m SO behind on. It’s been a lot but my determination-mode is on as I try and finish them all so I can move on 😅

Also wanted to give a huge thanks to @jonathanballpublishers for gifting me with this bad boy. Ever since I heard about ‘NINTH HOUSE’ by @lbardugo I KNEW I had to read it, it’s going to be so good 🤩

Go look up all the trigger & content warnings though because this book is apparently very heavy (and dark) adult urban fantasy. It’s about Yale secret societies and a whole bunch of other crazy stuff. I’m still so intrigued 🐍

This is me screaming in excitement because I HAVE THESE BOOKS IN MY HANDS! I’ve been eyeing them for years at this point and I saw them for cheap and I was like THIS IS A SIGN. So I asked for them as a birthday present and ahhh⭐️

I really really really love childrens classics, much more prefer them over normal classics. They’re so whimsical and wonderful, plus I didn’t own any of these ones. This is the ‘PUFFIN IN BLOOM COLLECTION’ btw 🤩

I’m particularly excited to read ‘ANNE OF GREEN GABLES’ as I’ve never read it in its entirety, only parts of it, and I ADORE the show. I also need to read ‘LITTLE WOMEN’ since the film’s coming out, it’s also just a staple 💕

‘GHOSTS OF THE SHADOW MARKET’ by @cassieclare1 is the latest Shadowhunter novella bind-up surrounding Brother Zachariah. I honestly don’t need to know anything else really ~ hashtag trash 😆

I haven’t read one of these in what feels like eons. Actually scratch that, I haven’t read a Shadowhunter book in what feels like eons. I have THREE to catch up on SEND HALP. I LOVE getting glimpses into my fave’s lives, and I love the characters this book is centred around so I’m pumped🤩

Guys, this book has been on my to-read list for what feels like eons *sweats* 😅 Ever since, ‘THE HAZEL WOOD’ came out, I’ve been meaning to give it a go. I even have TWO copies... gahhh why am I like this!! Huge thanks to @penguinbookssouthafrica for sending this stunning paperback edition when it came out though💙

All I know about this book is that the writing is amazing AND that it’s an Alice In Wonderland retelling. Which sounds exactly like my cup of tea and I’m hoping to finally read this one soon 🤩

I felt like my account was lacking the ‘SIX OF CROWS’ love so here we are 😌 This one of my all time favourite series, it’s so phenomenal. Also with all the tv show hype, and the amazing cast that I’m OBSESSED with, I’ve been feeling a reread! Need to get to the Grisha trilogy first though whoops 🤩

Also, my end of year motivation is kicking in and I want to try and get to all those books I’ve been saying I’ll read for 5ever. Obviously not this weekend and who knows if it’ll actually happen because my weird mood changes in a split second but we’re gonna aim high 😅

Ahh I’m so super pumped to be reading the final book in the Renegades trilogy ‘SUPERNOVA’ by @marissameyerauthor 😱 I really enjoyed the first two books in the series, book two had me SHOOKETH! CLIFFHANGER OMG!! It was... amazing! And painful 😅

We’ve got a brilliant slow-burn romance and anti-heroes. There’s politics and awsome super powers! It’s just a great time and I’m lowkey obsessed with superhero books?!🤩

‘NEXT YEAR IN HAVANA’ is an adult history fiction, all about Cuba in 1958. I’ve heard fantastic things and it sounds fantastic ⭐️

‘LOVELY WAR’ is World War I & II historical fiction, mixed with some Greek mythology ~ SO intriguing! Huge thanks to @penguinbookssouthafrica for sending this one my way🌷

And finally, ‘CITY OF GIRLS’ is also adult and set in 1940s New York. Big thanks to @jonathanballpublishers for gifting this one to me 🤩

Welp hello I love ‘RED, WHITE & ROYAL BLUE’ by @casey.mcquiston and I needed to talk about it 💁🏻‍♀️No but seriously! THIS BOOK... is perfection. I legitimately want to read it and over and over again for rest of eternity. Not to be dramatic or anything 😂

I love it so much I cannot even get the words out. These two boys literally want to give me frickin heart attack I tell you. If you didn’t know, this is a gay new adult romance (meaning it’s about older characters and probably not best for young readers) between Henry, the Prince of Wales and Alex, the First Son of The United States, if a woman had won the elections ✨

It is so pure and fantastic. It’s obviously diverse, with Alex being bisexual and half Mexican, plus many other diverse side characters. The writing is lovely, the banter is just A++++ and the romance will obviously kill you. You were warned. I just,,, please go read it if ya haven’t! You won’t regret 🥰

Whoops yeah I totally didn’t post for an entire week. My exams were hectic and I just didn’t find the time to sit down and prepare a photo 🤷🏻‍♀️

And recently I’ve kinda been in a... slump? I was just too busy to read anything and my mood was all over the place. Legit jumping all around the room. I couldn’t settle on anything and it was A TIME! BUT @penguinbookssouthafrica very kindly gifted me ‘THE FOUNTAINS OF SILENCE’ by @rutasepetysauthor a few days ago and I think this is it. I think my mood has finally settled on a book I want to read 💛

I haven’t read any of Ruta’s books yet but I do own ‘SALT TO THE SEA’ which I want to get to. All I know about this book is that it’s historical fiction set during the time of the Spanish Civil War in 1957. Our main characters are a maid at a hotel and one of the guests who is also a photographer? Which sounds amazing. This book sounds like a recipe for success. And idk if I’m just hyping it up for myself but I have an inkling that I’ll adore this one. I just have THAT feeling you know 😉
