Synopsis:

A young girl’s adventure through a mysterious land full of giant creatures and dead machines from a time long forgotten…

We journey to a distant land where we find a mountain that has no end, a mountain so tall that the people who live within its highest peaks know nothing of the world below the clouds. It is a mountain full of mystery and monstrous creatures the likes of which you have never seen. Hiding within the peaks, we find the mountain moon tribe and our main girl, Mia, the child elder and first of her generation. Born thirteen years ahead of her peers, she bears the huge responsibility of guiding them through life. But Mia is troubled by an unrelenting itch for adventure, and when she makes a wish upon a falling star, her wish is granted but ultimately threatens the destruction of her village. Mia is flung into a race to prevent the extinction of her people, chosen to go beyond the forbidden lands and seek the help of an ancient spirit dwelling many miles away, in the heart of the mountain itself. Along her journey, she will meet the monstrous creatures that plagued her bedtime stories, and upon the journey’s end, she will discover a terrible truth that will change the future of the mountain forever…

STAR RATING: (4 out of 5 stars)

If I could transport myself into any fantasy world, I might just pick this one. There may be some trials and challenges to face, but we’ll work around that. It’s too beautiful to pass up the opportunity!

This was an absolutely gorgeous read, and the level of detail is jaw-dropping. If you’re a fan of Ghibli films, like My Neighbor Totoro or Spirited Away, I guarantee this will scratch that itch

Thoroughly enjoyed this read *insert heart eyes*

Jack Ruedisueli is 27 years old, less than fresh out of university and still looking for his place in this world. Ever since he was young he loved to draw the weird and wonderful to escape into his own world, but until a couple years ago had no idea how to use this skill in a career. He studied interior architecture for 3 years at the University of Westminster, hoping designing buildings would quench his creative thirst – unfortunately, it did not. He lives in Lincolnshire, UK.
