HI THERE NEW YEAR // let's talk 2018, reading + more goals & a tag
2017 flew by and now it’s 2018 and I have goals. I just wanted to chat about all the things I want to accomplish this year and just general things we talk about at the beginning of the year.
READING GOALS
- I briefly discussed my reading goals in my End Of The Year Post there’s still more I want to talk about. I set my Goodreads goal to 30 books which mean I have to read at least 3 books a month, which is totally manageable, and that means I could read more if I have a lot of time, so that’s the first goal
- I also just want to read more in general, because I take WAY too long to get through books. I don’t want books to sit on my shelf, unread, for like 3 months, so that’s going to change
- I want to try and read more classics that I know I’ll enjoy
- My all time favourite genres are urban fantasy and contemporary, so I want to try to get into some good high fantasy
- There are so many anwesome blogs and bookstagram accounts and I want to comment more, so I can make more friends
SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES READALONG
One of my favourite booktubers is doing a Shadowhunter Chronicles Readalong and I think I’m going to join. Here’s a video with more info
Anyway, it sounds super fun and I’ve been wanting to reread TMI and TID for a while. I’ll probably skip out on TDA just because I’ve read them a bit more recently.

NEW THEME
Since it’s a new year, I wanted a new theme, so I found a good one and I hope you all like it. I also want to start changing up my posts a little, and I have started (did you notice?), but my post names have a changed a little and I’ve started using more graphics, so yeah I hope you like.
I think this year is going to be a good one. I plan to be more organised in my day-to-day life and use my planner more. There will probably be even more reviews for you guys and overall I’m excited. I hope you’re as excited about your year as I am. What are your goals for this year? I’d love to know
xo

Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue was one of my favorite books this last year. I’m very into fantasy as well and wasn’t expecting to like it so much. Good luck with all your goals 🙂

ASDFGHJKL YOU HAVEN’T READ SIX OF CROWS?!??!?!/!?!??!?!? I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN YOU RUBY. Shatter Me was okayyy. I liked Warner but the rest was a bit meh and the writing style was super funky. Love the new theme and the chat graphic! SO PRETTY. Good luck on 30 books I think you can do it. And is it weird I’m massively scared of classics?

I know, i’m sorry. *hides away in corner* Seems like some people LOVE shatter me and others not so much, so I need to find out for myself. Ahh thank you (you’re a star for answering my forever list of questions *hugs*) I’m positive I can read 30! Classics are scary, i get ya, but there are so many I think i’ll enjoy ❤️❤️❤️

You haven’t read Six of Crows yet?? Oh my goodness, when you do, please tell me because I’ll be there to fangirl with you. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SIX OF CROWS!! And, I can’t ever shut up about it, but that’s totally ok 🙂
Hello! I’m a new book blogger and I wanted to make more friends. I was wondering if I could get to know you a little better?

I will definitely tell you and I will read it, but I’m scared because I didn’t really like Wonder Woman that much? Aahh i love meeting new book bloggers and would definitely love to be friends!! All my social links are on my blog so we can dm if you like? Xx

Ohh, trust me. It’s nothing like Wonder Woman. I believe that WW is a contemporary while SOC is a fantasy and it’s basically 6 teenagers conducting a heist and XHSVAOWMDGS!!! I have no handle even now and I read it in 2016.
I haven’t read WW yet though so I’ll need to read it myself to compare them.
Thank you!!! I would love to talk. I’ll hit up your Instagram or Twitter mostly. 😊

I’m definitely to get to it very soon!

Wow we have a lot of the same reading goals! I started The Darkest Minds already and I’m going to start Throne of Glass soon. I also have to read Six of Crows and People Like Us and Vampire Academy. And I also have a challenge to read 30 books this year but so far I’m ahead of schedule. Maybe I’ll get more. I hope you’re reading goals are coming along well!
