AUGUST REACP // i actually read books & watched some great movies
YAY so I actually did stuff this month but this also means we’re closer to the end of the year and I’m not prepared okay!
I went to the cinema a bunch and read more than 1 book (i know wow an accomplishment!!)
- Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare {★★★★★}: Wow look at that I actually finally picked this up and of course, I was a mess
I still am. Um, I’m going to crawl into a hole now and come out on the 3rd of December okay bye. Jk I’m not leaving but check out my hecka long spoiler-filled review here - The Fault In Our Stars by John Green {★★★★½}: I had to read this for school and tbh didn’t know if I was going to like it because I’d read it before and at the time thought it was overrated but now I can appreciate it more and I, of course, loved it. More thoughts in my review, click here
- Save The Date by Morgan Matson {★★★★½}: I read this book SO FAST and had the best time. I’m all caught up on Morgan’s books now. (I technically finished the last 100 pages on the 1st of September but not going to include it here). I just loved this book and ya know, just click here for my coherent thoughts, please. Thanks to Jonathan Ball for sending to me
- Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi
- The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven
- To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
- The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare (& more)
- Trouble With Flying by Rachel Morgan
- I’ve literally been the SO INACTIVE everywhere and it’s totally unplanned. I usually have posts scheduled for a few weeks and I write more content in that time but recently I’ve been forgetting I have nothing to post and then I never get round to doing it so I disappear for like a week which for me is bad… need to get back into the swing
- I’ve been taking to many pictures of myself for bookstagram and they all turned out great so that’s cool.
-
I need to get back to blogging okay. Please remind me!
- I went back to school and now it’s coming near to some extremely important exams and I just do not want to go there just yet so kinda sorta high-key stressing out
- I got books from some awesome people because of the twitter bookish wish hashtag and I’m so grateful and just,, this community is just so lovely
- I’ve been going through this super weird phase where I feel so confused?? It’s just school really and friends but like sometimes you just want everything to stop and it literally doesn’t and it’s just,,, ahhhh!!!
- I just need to get my butt into gear but I’m also not excited to do that so #procrastinationsolvesproblems am I right??
As you could tell by the title, I saw a few movies. It was the time when some awesome adaptations and sequels were coming out so I just had a blast.
I also went to see To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before which I have now seen like 5 times so does that say something? It’s amazing, go and watch it now on Netflix, please!
I haven’t done a post yet because I need to take notes and rewatch, but I saw The Darkest Minds which I also loved. It’s not getting much recognition and I’m hoping more people watch it so they can make more movies since I thought it was a really faithful adaptation, which says a a lot because I’m obsessed with them (and um, of course, Liam Stewart)
I would really like to get into Siren (tv show) so that it’ll put me in the mood for all these mermaid books I’ve been meaning to get to!!
I have a ton of reviews (Incredibles, Anne With An E) planned, but again need to rewatch so I can take notes. And a recommendations post but I just need to get into the creative mode again!!
I’m going to try to get back into the swing of it all I promise but I have a feeling life’s going to start getting hectic (that’ll probably make me post more but we’ll see let’s not jinx myself).
WHAT DID YOU READ THIS MONTH? WHICH WERE YOUR FAVOURITE READS? DID YOU WATCH ANY AWESOME MOVIES OR SHOWS? WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE POST THIS MONTH? I’D LOVE TO KNOW!!

You just reminded me that I need to rewatch To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before because I finished the audiobook a few days ago. I’ve been dying to see it again. 😀
