SEPTEMBER RECAP // i went to a book festival, read 2 books & now need a long nap
Ngl that title is kinda iconic and I will be patting myself on the back for the foreseeable future,,,
Trying to be marginally on time with this so let’s just dive right in before I run away or something?

Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven {★★★★☆}: She’s not out for a while so I’m not saying too much right now. But I absolutely devoured this book with reincarnation starcrossed lovers forced to kill each other in every lifetime. Oh yes. You need to add this to your TBR right this second methinks!!!! Tysm to Penguin Children’s UK for the eARC via Netgalley ~ more thoughts here
Nothing Like The Movies by Lynn Painter {★★★★★}: If you were wondering if I got randomly accepted for an early copy of this book on a random Friday and spent that random weekend yelling into the void, you might be right. You’ll probably see a review from me about this so I shall save the thoughts for then. But indeed I died and went to heaven, and then cried over WesLiz in this book. Tysm to Simon Teen for the eARC via Edelweiss ~ all the yelling in my GR review here
Thank you to Pan Macmillan SA for the review copies:
- I’ll Look For You Everywhere by Cameron Capello
- When Haru Was Here by Dustin Thao
- The Pairing by Casey McQuiston
Big thanks to Bramble @ Tor for sending me a copy of:
- Swordcrossed by Freya Marske
Tysm to the author for the gifted copy of:
- The Seven Day Switch by Meg Chronis

My life has changed recently and it’s all because of freaking The Princess Bride. Oh yes. I want to be pushed off a hill is how hard I’m obsessed with this movie. Please #prayforruby because I genuinely need it,,,
I saw A Knight’s Tale and Beetlejuice 2 which I’d never seen before. No comments here, they were fine.
Not much else aside from a lot of rewatches, to be honest. All of those were both genius and idiot decisions. Why I thought putting myself through The Lion King was a good idea I don’t know but that’s what happened. But then I rewatched Mulan which I forgot was that good? And Pitch Perfect is never going to be a bad idea. Neither is He’s Just Not That Into You aka some of my forever comfort watches *sighs in happiness*
Not much else to mention here. Hmmm kay bye,,,
Just kidding, but this bit will also be short and sweet. Work’s been crazy, life’s been slow, that’s about it. We’re figuring things out?
I can quickly screech about my weekend at Open Book Festival which was sooooo much fun. I went for work but also to see authors I loved. Like Koleka Putuma, who I tracked down to sign all of my books. I can die happy now. Anyway, stunning time and I will definitely be going again next year!!!

WHAT DID YOU GET UP TO LAST MONTH? WHAT BOOKS DID YOU READ? ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? DID YOU WATCH ANYTHING NEW? I’D LOVE TO KNOW!

Ahhh!! I hope to be able to attend a book festival one day 🥰 like a big one, Yalc style, unlike my local book salon events.
