This post is basically just an excuse to screech about my all time favourite books and series but what did you expect?

I feel like I talk about them all the time but then again I also don’t know if I do. I feel I don’t shove them enough in your face,  hence this post. Most have probably read them or heard of these but who cares.

Also, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson are my faves but who here doesn’t know about them? I just wanted to mention that because I do love them but these are some newer favourites so wanted to give them more spotlight.

STANDALONE CONTEMPORARIES

• Eliza & Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia:

  Never have I ever related more to a character and felt recognised. I went into this book knowing I’d love it but this is the book that if anyone ever asked to choose one book that isn’t a fantasy that was my favourite then this it. I love every word in it and I just cannot recommend it enough.

• Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson:

  This book was that book that I read at just the right time and related to so much since I was going through similar things as the main character which meant so much to me. I didn’t know I needed it in my life and now it just means so much to me, it was just so amazing to be going through something and then to read it about someone who is going through almost the same thing.

FAVOURITE SERIES

THE RAVEN CYCLE BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER:

I love this series with all my heart. I know it’s not for everyone but I binged this series and fell completely in love. I love the uniqueness of the story and all the characters. I love Blue for her quirkiness, I related to that, I love Gansey and all the boys. These books are just amazing and I had the best time reading them.

SIX OF CROWS BY LEIGH BARDUGO:

I put these books off so many times thinking I wouldn’t like them and that I was not interested. Until one day I just started reading it and I was sucked into this world. I fell in love with all the characters and found my love for anti-heroes. These books are perfection, I loved the pacing of the book one and then just had such a huge love for each character and their personality. I have no words.

 

THE DARKEST MINDS BY ALEXANDRA BRACKEN:

I don’t know if you’ve been around but I LOVE THESE BOOKS. I know they’re not for everyone but I recently read them and adored them. Liam Stewart is like my favourite person and I just quickly was sucked in. I love the world and Alex’s writing style. I haven’t read the newest book yet but am so hyped for it. This series was just that set of books that I needed at the time and I just adore them.

THE SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES BY CASSANDRA CLARE:

How could these not be my faves? These books man. They give me emotions. I love all of them and will read anything from this world. I’ve always loved these books for a long time now but only recently have I become absolute Cassie trash. Each and every freaking character is amazing and I love them with my entire heart. The world is so well-created and I love Cassie’s writing style. They just mean so much to me and I am obsessed.

Looking at this list there actually aren’t that many but I just wanted to spread my love of these books. I do talk about them and they all mean so much to me but I just wanted to make a list and talk about my faves. I, of course, recommend if you haven’t read these and strongly urge you to if you’ve been waiting for a push to read them.
