Huh. I feel like I’m in a fever dream rn. The very first book I read this year was Carry On. It’d been sitting on my shelf FAR too long and I was literally speechless. The book took over my entire life, I non-stop talked about it everywhere, forced it on anybody who hadn’t read the book. I reread my favourite parts multiple times and I just,,, it was a lot. So to say the least, I was HIGHLY anticipating this book for like nine months. I probably thought about it every day. What do you mean it wasn’t a healthy obsession? BOOKS I WANT TO REREAD ASAP // ft. old favourites, wondering if opinions would change and series continuations
Hey hey hey people. This post has been sitting in drafts for aeons and it’s kind of ashaming. But that’s life for ya. I have to resist the urge to reread like ALL the books because otherwise, my TBR pile will murder me. And I’m still a youngin’ with a long life ahead of me so I think I should spend my time maybe not dying? Even though I kinda am already because the other books I read murder me anyway. You just can’t win tbh. Anyways, Idk if this post is dumb but I had a list of books in my mind that I wanted to reread and I thought why not do a whole blog post about them?? This post might be a failure, feel free to click out now. But um yeah let’s just get into this post?? PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS BY RICK RIORDAN This series was one of the first series I ever got into. I think I read them like 5 years ago? I even low-key really enjoyed the movies at first, until I read the books, and was like YEAH NOPE. But my siblings have been reading them and I just feel…

A LONG OVERDUE BOOK HAUL // part 2 (march to october): ft. books i’ve bought, gifts & bargain books warehouse sale
Yeah so I decided this split this ridiculously long book haul into two parts because it was turning out to be a total disaster. If you missed part one you can click RIGHT HERE to read that first. That one was all about the books I received from publishers. In previous hauls, the books were just all over the place but this time I’ve divided this into sections to make it a bit easier a) for me to put together and b) so it’s not a hot mess ha. I’m trying people. Anyways, without further ado, let us just get into the books! If you have never heard of this and are new to my blog, then let me explain. I live in South Africa and Bargain Books (a local book store) hosts this massive sale in Cape Town and it’s like the best. I get invited to the early access sale every once and a while to take a peek at what’s available. And since February there have been three that I’ve been to. Head over to my Instagram for all the photos because there are a lot! ♥ March Movie Geek: A Geek’s Guide to the Movieverse by…

A LONG OVERDUE BOOK HAUL // part 1 (march to october) ft. book mail from publishers
I have had this post sitting in drafts for aeons at this point. I think my last book haul was back in like February?? It is now December so you get my situation. Welp, I guess better late than never. Anyways, I think I’m going to start incorporating hauls into my recaps, it all depends. This may be my last haul but eh I change my mind all the time. It got a bit late and I didn’t manage to post this on time so I actually mentioned all the books I got in November in the recap already hehe. Also, I’m super lazy BUT I will sprinkle in some photos of these books that I posted on Instagram, which if you don’t follow me there, you should. I also do haul ALL books over on my stories so feel free to stalk me. In totally un-creepy way obviously *wink wink* Without further ado, let us just get into this. Skyward: The Story of Female Pilots in WWII by Sally Deng: This is actually a sort of children’s book that they gifted me when I was inquiring about the book below this one, and I was just like, you know, …

Welcome to yet another extremely late review because I’m a terrible blogger. I adored this book. But what did I not do? Flipping review it that’s what. I swear this is going to change. But I’m sitting in a pickle because I have a terrible memory and don’t remember enough about the book. But I wanted to do this review so excuse this mess of a post. This is my brand now. My legacy. NOVEMBER RECAP // i turned 18, new anticipated releases, audiobooks, blog redesign & finishing high school
For a change, this post is actually going up on time? I don’t know how am I either tbh. I didn’t read many books in November, which I’ll get into later. But I did get some awesome books. I mentioned that I’m going to start incorporating book mail into my recaps. I, unfortunately, haven’t managed to get my “last” book haul up yet. It’s taking a lot of work. So it’ll be coming soon after this post. But it is coming (ICYMI it’s just a very late haul of books from March to end of October) But um yeah there isn’t much else to say in this into so let us just chat about what happened in November. Geekerella by Ashley Poston {★★★½☆}: this was a reread for me because I thought I might like it even more (ignore my 2017-self’s 4-star review who couldn’t rate back then). I landed up flying through this one on a free dat and I had such a fun time. The only word I can use to describe this book is cute and that I liked it. It wasn’t perfect, I didn’t buy the actual story a lot of the time. I loved the…
