I BINGED THE ILLUMINAE FILES SERIES // illuminae (book one): this book destroyed me… send help!
Yes, I do realise that I read this trilogy back in March and I am only NOW doing this review. I am a terrible person. But oh well. Better late than never amirite?! Anyways, I binged this series while I was away on holiday and as you can tell by the title: THEY DESTROYED ME! And of course, such emotions need their own entire blog post. This review may be a mess when are they ever not one though because I read them so long ago. And also I’m going to try not to spoil future books since I did binge these books back to back. I don’t think I did but do proceed with caution. Also, this was originally like an entire series review but it landed up being like 3k+ words long so they’ve been split. And I’ve decided to do a thing where I post the reviews one after the other. Fun huh. So yeah you can stay tuned for reviews of the following two books If you’re reading it the day it’s been published, these posts won’t be live yet but if not, you can click here for my other reviews of this series < 3…

Hi yes hello if you’re new here then you probably don’t know that I am obsessed with Stranger Things. And I basically find any and every excuse to talk about it. You’ve been warned. Also yes I am working on a season 3 review (which is very late but OH WELL). I have done a post about both season 1 and 2 if you’d like to take a look, you can click here. It is quite old though and you’ll probably cringe so uh, enter at your own risk. I need to find the strength to write this post but I promise it is coming. OCTOBER RECAP // new fave book, spooky series binge & mental health
I’m really terrible at sticking to a schedule people. I’m meant to be FREE and I just can’t do it. I said I’d try and post every 2 weeks during exams but whelp that didn’t happen. I kept leaving it to Sunday and then I just couldn’t get around to finishing the dang post. The cycle continued so this is why you’re only getting a post now. Anyways, I don’t want this post to go up too late so I’m trying to stay ahead of the game and post it now. I also want to start doing book hauls in monthly recaps so that’ll start happening in next month’s one. I have a giant one coming up because my last one was back in like March, but afterwards, I’m going to do ’em in recaps. If you even cared… Should I stop rambling and just get into what happened last month? I think that’s a good idea! Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco {★★★★☆}: hskjkjs this SERIES! I’d just finished the first book last month (i.e. September) so I decided to jump right into the sequel. And I enjoyed it a lot more. I will say I think I rated…

CURRENT FAVOURITES // what i’ve been loving lately ft. music, apps, youtube and movies!
Hi yes, this is a random post but I felt like doing it so here we are. And I just broke my upload schedule because I legit just said you’d have to wait two weeks. I just came up with this post and wanted to post it so I guess here you go?? I truly don’t know what this is but I’ve seen some other friends do it and I just had some things I wanted to talk about that aren’t bookish related, well maybe a little, but ANYWAY. Let us just get into this very odd and VERY spontaneous post… m u s i c ♥ Sam Phillips Do these songs sound familiar to you? Because yes it is indeed the music from Gilmore Girls (which we will get into later as well). So I’ve specifically been loving the A Boot and A Shoe album but I also love a few of her other songs. I’m just in the BIGGEST early 2000s deep vocals, and guitar mood?? And she’s hit the notch with this album. But it’s only 36 minutes and I take personal offence to this because IT IS NOT ENOUGH EXCUSE ME?! All her songs are so…

SEPTEMBER RECAP // a consistent blogging schedule, tons of reading and braces
Yes hi, this is me trying not to have these posts up so late but very badly failing. Oh well. Anyways, September was A TIME! Oh well Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston {★★★★★}: welcome to the few minutes of me also giving this book all the praise because I’m super basic. We loved this book! My heart is in a puddle. It was stunning, amazing, beautiful and every other adjective you can give it. I also did a REVIEW WHAT?!? A whole ass blog post review?? I’m particularly proud of it too. It’s basically just me squawking like a bird about this book for an absurd amount of time. Check it out here <3 ♥ Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker & Wendy Xu {★★★★☆}: I read an e-ARC of this graphic novel just recently and wow what a fun book! By the time you’re reading this it should be coming out in a few days and yes you…

ALL THE GRAPHIC NOVELS I’VE READ THIS YEAR SO FAR // i’ve been on a high ft. heartstopper, pumpkinheads, paper girls & more
I have no idea what this post is but we’re just going to go with it. I’ve read quite the few graphic novels this year and I really wanted to talk about them but because these books are so short I wouldn’t have enough to say to give each of them a full-length review. So here we are. As I said, this post may be a mess but let’s see how it turns out. BOOK #1 Title: Heartstopper Volume One Series: Heartstopper Book #1 Author: Alice Oseman Illustrator: Alice Oseman Page count: 278 Date published: 7 February 2019 (originally October 2018) Genre: Young Adult contemporary romance ♥ Synopsis: Charlie, a highly-strung, openly gay over-thinker, and Nick, a cheerful, soft-hearted rugby player, meet at a British all-boys grammar school. Friendship blooms quickly, but could there be something more…? Charlie Spring is in Year 10 at Truham Grammar School for Boys. The past year hasn’t been too great, but at least he’s not being bullied anymore, and he’s sort of got a boyfriend, even if he’s kind of mean and only wants to meet up in secret. Nick Nelson is in Year 11 and on the school rugby team. He’s heard a…

SPOOKY (AND CREEPY) BOOKS I WANT TO READ THIS HALLOWEEN SEASON // aka an ambitious reading list from a scaredy cat
Hi hello, yes you are on my blog. Fun fact about yours truly: I’m the biggest wimp out there… So why am I making a Halloween reading list you ask? You know, not even I can answer that very valid question. Literally cannot handle horror AT ALL. I will get nightmares and creepy faces will stare at me for a solid day. I can handle some gore, not all of it. But creepy people NO THANK YOU. Anyways, I did this post last year. It may be bad but you can go and read if you want I guess. But because it’s Halloween, even though where I live people don’t really do anything, I feel like reading spooky and mysterious books. Which you will see is what makes up this list. So let me stop rambling and actually get into THE BOOKS. also yes I am semi-dividing these books into genres but some of them belong in other sections as well but am we’re just going to roll with it PARANORMAL: The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken: I love Alex’s books. I know it’s not everyone’s favourite and the genre has died out but The Darkest Minds…
