10 LGBTQIAP+ BOOKS ON MY TBR
Since it’s PRIDE MONTH I thought I’d give you a list of LGBTQIAP+ books I really would like to read because I haven’t read enough to give you recommendations or anything. There are so many books that look awesome and amazing!! 1) Aristotle & Dante Discover The Secrets of The Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz I know this is a well-loved book and that there should be a sequel coming soon. From what I gather its a gay coming of age story with a friendship and what I assume a road trip. I mean from the synopsis I already want it NOW because its something I think I’d love. Ari and Dante are complete opposites but manage to break down each other’s walls and it sounds amazing and heart-wrenching. Click here to read more. 2) Carry On by Rainbow Rowell I don’t know if you know but I adore Rainbow’s writing and I truly don’t know why I haven’t read this. It’s similar to Harry Potter and also has an unlikely gay romance. Rainbow’s writing is how I want to write and I just adore it. I read a few of short stories last year and, again, adored them so…

MINI MOVIE REVIEWS // a chick flick craze
HELLO! So I’ve watched a TON of movies recently, and basically only chick flicks (high school hate to love romances in particular). DON’T JUDGE! Because I’ve had a grand old time and have found some new favourites. Anyways lemme tell you what I’ve been watching. Also click here for my list of aesthetics for these movies (my way of actually keeping track of what I watch) Sleeping Beauty If you’ve been following me around lately you know that I’ve also been on a bit of a disney animated princess kick. So I put this one on and like I’m surprised to say that I enjoyed it much more than I thought. I loved the music and the Prince is great and it was truly such fun! Ruby Sparks So I this movie and I was like THIS SOUNDS PERFECT. Basically, it’s about a writer who writes this character Ruby who he falls in love with. The first hour or so was great but then I started getting this weird feeling and it started getting really emotional which was not what I expected from this movie. It was really good don’t get me wrong but like I didn’t see the movie…

I’ve been inactive recently because of exams #sorry but the majority of the really difficult ones are out of the way so I’m not as stressed anymore which is a huge relief. Anyways, let’s just get into the recap. ANASTASIA // Russian history, princesses, thoughts + tag
So I’ve been in the biggest Disney princess mood lately. Don’t ask me why… i’m just a dork okay? AND I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS, hence this post. Anastasia isn’t really a Disney princess but she is a historical one which I’ll get into later. Anywayssss let’s go! I take history as a subject at school and we’ve been doing The Russian Revolution. I went into this movie having forgotten all about it. We’ve had the dvd (!!) and I’ve seen it before and had a vague overview of it. Anyway off topic and I’m rambling now… I didn’t know all that much. Then I start watching it and it’s literally what I’ve been doing at school which is SUPER awesome. I also researched it and there was a theory of a lost princess named Anastasia. About the plot: it all flowed very nicely. It was captivating and not at all boring. It’s funny and entertaining. I haven’t mentioned iit yet: GO AND WATCH if you haven’t! Rasputin (the villain): He’s your typical bad guy. He’s just so evil and determined which is want you want in a villain. Bartok (weird creature thingy): He’s that comic relief who isn’t…

PREDICTING 5 STAR READS // books I think I'll love, adore & devour
Is my TBR pile huge? Yes. Do I buy more books anyway? Yes. I have made a rule for myself to only get books I think I’ll love and I have so many of them right now. I’ve seen this post go around and it seems super fun, so let’s just do it. LORD OF SHADOWS by Cassandra Clare Yes, this is my most shamed. I WILL READ IT. I am scared so I’ve been putting it off but I promise it will happen soon. If you haven’t read the Shadowhunter Chronicles then I honestly don’t know what you’re doing with your life. STRANGE THE DREAMER by Laini Taylor Omg, I have NOTHING but amazing things. I don’t exactly know what it’s about apart from a librarian and a lost city. I hear it’s magical and wonderful and I NEED IT NOW DAUGHTER OF THE BURNING CITY & ACE OF SHADES by Amanda Foody These books have been getting rave reviews and I just need to know. I still need to get a copy of Ace of Shades but I do have Daughter and am hoping to get to it soon. …
