HI THERE NEW YEAR // let's talk 2018, reading + more goals & a tag
2017 flew by and now it’s 2018 and I have goals. I just wanted to chat about all the things I want to accomplish this year and just general things we talk about at the beginning of the year. READING GOALS I briefly discussed my reading goals in my End Of The Year Post there’s still more I want to talk about. I set my Goodreads goal to 30 books which mean I have to read at least 3 books a month, which is totally manageable, and that means I could read more if I have a lot of time, so that’s the first goal I also just want to read more in general, because I take WAY too long to get through books. I don’t want books to sit on my shelf, unread, for like 3 months, so that’s going to change I want to try and read more classics that I know I’ll enjoy My all time favourite genres are urban fantasy and contemporary, so I want to try to get into some good high fantasy There are so many anwesome blogs and bookstagram accounts and I want to comment more, so I can make more friends SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES…

Review: SIMON VS THE HOMO SAPIENS AGENDA
Title: Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda Author: Becky Albertalli Page count: 303 Date published: 7 April 2015 Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Rating: (out of 5 stars) Synopsis Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised. With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends, and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon’s junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now, change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he’s pushed out—without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he’s never met. MY THOUGHTS I picked this book up because the movie is coming out and I’ve heard is adorable and it certainly did not disappoint. I was…

END OF THE YEAR POST // a tag, goals & favourite reads
So it’s the end of the year and it’s been pretty succesful book related to I have a few things I’d like to talk about before 2018 starts, so let’s just get into it. I’ve already done an entire post about new releases I want to read next year so click here for that. GOODREADS CHALLENGE I set this year’s challenge to 20 books because I started a bit late but I don’t exactly know what to set it for next year: I’m thinking maybe 35? Or even 40?? I’m just scared to push myself if I can’t read as much because next year is a hard school year. We’ll see… BEST READS OF THE YEAR [[ more titles will probably be added because the year is not over yet so follow me on twitter and goodreads for all those updates ]] BEAT THE BACKLIST 2018 I found out about this via Twitter and though it looked fun. It’s basically a challenge where you have to read books that weren’t published that year so it decreases your TBR and you get assigned a team and the more books you read, the more points your team gets. It’s really…

BOOKS I'M EXCITED FOR IN 2018
So, there aren’t many books on this list, but I’m just dying to get my hands on these releases next year that I HAD to share with you guys. Daughter of The Siren Queen by Tricia Levenseller (27 February 2018) I haven’t read book one yet but it’s been on my radar and I’ll probably binge both of them once this one comes out. Batman Nightwalker by Marie Lu (2 January 2018) Even though I didn’t really like the first book, I’m still intrigued to see what this book holds. Catwoman Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas (7 August 2018) Same as Batman with this one. I’ve also heard loads of good things about Sarah and I’ve never actually watched or read anthing about Catwoman so it’d be a first with this superhero People Like Us by Dana Mele (no date yet) I read the synopsis and it had Pretty Little Liars vibes so I’m obviously down for this. American Panda by Gloria Chao (6 February 2018) Sounds adorable and cute and what else do you need? The Lady’s Guide To Petticoats And Parties by Mckenzi Lee (2 October 2017) I still need to get to this book but I know I’ll love it…

She doesn’t believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore MY THOUGHTS *SPOILERS AHEAD* Is it just me or do you feel everytime you finish the end of something you have no idea what to do with yourself? Because that’s me right now. This series is over and now what?! But this was also the best conclusion I could have asked for and honestly just more perfection. It’s so hard to put my feelings into words. I just devoured this book. In literally 24 hours as you can see because I like just posted my BLLB review. Argghh I’m so sad it’s over. This book had me scared silly. I was so nervous as to what was going to happen to my precious babies. Let’s quickly talk…

Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after… MY THOUGHTS Now I have to be honest, I was afraid that I wouldn’t like this book because some were saying that it’s very slow and boring, but in reality it’s NOT that. I loved, loved, loved, loved this book and I’d like to type that out more but we might be here a while. The whole story was taken to a whole other level and it had basically everything I wanted which at times included lots of confusion and theorising. It’s great and amazing and please stop reading NOW to avoid spoilers and then come back when you’re finished (which shouldn’t take…
